Poetry Writing Workshop

As much as I love reading poetry, writing poetry is not easy for me.

  This exercise took longer than I'd like to admit!

But here it is, two drafts and still a work in progress:

 I ran out of time before finishing this, so I guess it's a cliff-hanger at this point. ;)

Personal Narrative

Whew!  

Writing does not come easy to me!  

Thankfully, this is meant to be a really rough draft.  

I feel like there is so much I can say about this day.  

It happened over 20 years ago, but I remember it vividly.  

The odd thing is, I had a dream about an earthquake last night (it's something I never dream about).  So choosing this as my topic came easy.  

Was I afraid in my dream?  Nope!  

Was I wearing roller skates??  Nope!!

The Mommy Life

For Writing Workshop this week I was asked to jot down a list of ideas for writing topics and then pick one for a 10 minute "free write."  As much as I wanted to share my Guinea pigs' adventures (haha), or write about rocks (yes, I really did put "rocks" on my list), I decided to go with "The Mommy Life."  That's something I have a little bit of experience in.  ;)
